Transfer Huge Files Online Fast And Free

If this problem hasn't hit you yet... it will.

With the ever-increasing popularity of sharing home-videos, mp3 audios, and other large files online, actually transferring those files to your customers, friends, and family presents a problem.

Most email systems limit the size of the files you can send, and often completely restrict some file types, such as .exe, from passing through their email servers.

Most computer geeks say, "Just ftp it to your server and I'll download it from the Web."

Unfortunately, that solution often proves too much of a hassle, and actually rates impossible for those without ftp access to a website and the knowledge to use it.

To solve this problem, a new breed of website file transfer service has emerged to help the technically or time- challenged masses share their huge files online.

http://www.yousendit.com/

I discovered this website as most people discover new sites, I saw someone else using it.

A friend wanted to send me a 10MB "zip" file while he traveled from San Francisco to Boise.

He couldn't use his ftp program to upload it to the Web, and his ISP wouldn't let him send such a huge file.

So, he logged on to http://www.yousendit.com/ and completed a 4-step process.

(1) He entered my email address, (2) chose the file he wanted to send by browsing his hard drive, (3) entered his email and typed in a brief message, and (4) clicked the "send" button.

The service uploaded the file to the web and sent me an email message with a link to download the file from their website.

After I downloaded the file, I clicked a link to delete the file from their server.

If I didn't bother to click that link, the server would automatically delete the file after 7 days.

A few things make this service unique.

First, it allows you to send files without forcing you to register as a user; it's totally anonymous.

Second, it allows you to send up to a 1 gigabyte file.

This enables you to send virtually anything you can think of to anyone with an email address and Internet connection.

The site appears to make its money from advertising revenue generated by popup ads and Google AdSense (where they earn a commission every time someone clicks a link).

Third, like Hotmail.com did when first starting out, YouSendIt.com encourages message recipients to turn around and use the service to send files to their friends.

This "viral marketing" effect should help them spread the word quickly without a huge marketing budget.

http://www.dropload.com/

DropLoad.com also enables users to send large files, though they restrict file sizes to 100 MB.

However, DropLoad.com offers one extra feature lacking in YouSendIt: delivery confirmation.

Dropload enables you to know when the person you sent the file to actually clicks the link to download the file.

This cuts down on the "I never got the file" claims and acts like the Post Office making them sign for registered mail.

You can't prove they read it, but you can prove they received it.

DropLoad.com does require you to register for a username and password, but the service is free.

Overall, both services do an excellent job of solving a growing problem for a huge audience worldwide.

Also, if you sell information products customers download from the Internet, the link expiration and confirmation features can come in handy (such as giving out free samples or preview copies to potential joint venture partners).

How to use MP3

MP3 is the most popular compression format for audio files. In this article, we will take a look at how MP3 works and how you can make your own MP3 files.

Uncompressed audio files are very large. A 1-minute CD quality stereo song requires approximately 10 MB of hard disk space. Without compression to reduce this size, relatively few songs would be able to be stored on a computer hard drive, and compact devices like portable MP3 players would not exist, or would cost thousands of dollars.

The same one-minute audio file can be encoded in MP3 format and only require about 1 MB of disk space. This amazing reduction in file size is accomplished by discarding some of the audio data that is outside the hearing range of the typical listener. An MP3 file will sound almost as good as the original CD but the file size will be about one-tenth.

There is a balance between how much audio data can be removed and the quality of the sound. The most common MP3 compression uses 128 kilobits per second (kbps), but many people claim there is a noticeable amount of distortion at this setting. For people with critical listening requirements, 160 kbps is the minimum setting – it produces files which are slightly larger than 128 kbps but the sound is closer to CD quality. Lower settings such as 96 kbps or 64 kbps introduce noticeable noise into the audio. They are suitable for spoken voice recordings but not for music.

You can encode your own MP3 files using any of the hundreds of software packages on the market today. Many of them are free, and you can use them to rip music from CDs and encode them to MP3 in one step. To decide which settings to use, start by encoding a piece of music you are familiar with. Save three files - 128 kbps, 160 kbps and 192 kbps, and then compare the original CD to these three files. This simple test will help you choose which setting is suitable for your own listening requirements.

The Top 3 Best Photo Editing Softwares

Being a photo editor is not rocket science. All it takes is a lot of creativity and a mastery of some of the best photo editing software available in the market.

Photoshop Elements 3

This is almost like a primer for Adobe Photoshop—so beginners, don’t feel intimidated. Elements does have some of the features that Photoshop is well known for, which comes quite handy when you’ve decided you’ve like to try your hand on something more upscale than cropping and resizing.

It’s so easy to use this program, what with it being simple and easy to navigate. And talk about user-friendly—at start up, a “recipes” palette asks if you’d like a step-by-step tutorial of the program. Elements can also import stills from video clips, as well as PDF files. And when you’re feeling a bit lazy (or is just plain ignorant about how to use some of the tools), a “Quick Fix” wizard can help you adjust the essentials: lighting, focus, color, and rotation of images.

For those who like their photos in widescreen editions, Elements’ Panorama Tool helps you seamlessly put together photos to create a panoramic photo. It blends in the colors, as well. And when it’s time to print and show off your photography skills, you can pick one of the “picture package” templates to automatically print them in a specific size.

PhotoImpact 10

A little bit more technical than Photoshop, PhotoImpact needs a lot of patience to master. This program is best for eager learners with a lot of time in their hands to figure out the “too-technical” features that would scare away first time photo editing users. However, PhotoImpact does have its gems.

An ExpressFix features shows you several options to fix exposure, color, saturation, focus, and skin. It also comes equipped with a 360 panorama program. Probably the shiniest gem in the package would be the “Beautiful Skin” effect, which removes red patches and evens out your skin tone. Can you say airbrush? While PhotoImpact doesn’t support PDF files, it does allow you to grab images off the internet. Type in the URL of a webpage, click on the image you want to get, then edit away. It’s a little tricky to use at first, but once you get a hold on PhotoImpact’s tools, you’ll be thankful you took the time to learn.

Digital Image Suite 9

Microsoft’s own photo editing software is like digital spoon feeding. Image Suite 9 is a very basic image editing software that hardly requires a tutorial. While it does work wonders for those who only want to share pictures online, it could be quite frustrating for those who want to flex their creativity muscles a little bit more. Image Suite 9 lacks some features that you might want to use later on. That said, there still are a bunch to keep you happy.

While there’s no auto color fix option (quite essential to fix the crappy lighting most digital cameras capture), there are still the basic features of cropping, adjusting brightness and contrast, and removing red-eye. The most advanced this software can get would be removing blemishes, whiten teeth, and eliminating wrinkles. The layering option is hardly even handy—you can layer on photos, but it’s virtually impossible to unlayer them. This program will work perfectly if you want hassle-free, basic photo editing.

How To Recover Those Lost Files

Hard Drive Recovery and the recovery of apparently lost files and date can often be restored with some simple know hows or data recovery software. What a great world we live in.

Computers are one of the best tools that has come into the hands of man since the convenience of toilet paper. Your computer offers you the ability to store all your valuable files and data in one convenient place and in most cases makes it portable.

But in the event of a Hard Drive Crash or the the loss of important or valued data, files, pictures, movies etc., that wonderful computer turns into an expensive paper weight taking up space on your desk or kitchen table.

Sometimes we tend to convince ourselves that our lost or deleted files are gone forever and that hours or weeks of work to replace them is required. But in many cases lost files and data, even a Hard Disk Recovery can be done in moments.

Lost or deleted files can be located and recovered. Often you may just find it sitting in your trash. To recover it, simply click and drag it onto your computer desktop. If you would like to replace it back into it's original place or folder simply right click it and choose that.

On occasion, you start up your computer and can't find that file you worked on so hard. Before you start yelling out to your spouse or children a simple search of files on your computer may bring it up. Often we quickly save our files not noticing where our computer decided to save them to. Often they are in a folder we have not thought of. To find that file click on "Start" and use your search function there. Type in part or all of the name of your file and you may just find it !

In the event that you or someone has accidentally deleted your wanted file or data then all is not lost. Data recovery software will search your computer and restore it for you. Imagine a file being like a painting. It is painted over white ready for next use, but the painting, or in this case the data, is still there underneath. You just need to remove the white paint. Data recovery software does the job for you. It scans your computer for recoverable items and asks you if you want to recover any or all of them.

You may be surprised what you find!

Hard Drive Recovery Tools are also available. When your computer starts choking on memory, freezing, crashing to a halt or re-starting itself or you hear strange noises coming from your hard drive then a crash may well be on the way. You'll probably start seeing serious looking error messages, note these done before you click them away.

In most cases free computer support is available. Click your "Start" button, then right click on "My Computer" then choose "Properties" then "Support". It should show you a phone number and times to ring for free computer support. Support will walk you through steps to rectify your problems but may end-up recommending you completely recover your computer losing all files on your "C Drive". Effectively your computer returns to the day you brought it home from the shop.

The good news is that a full recovery of your computer doesn't involve your "D Drive" so placing important and large files there is good advise. It also frees up your "C Drive" which does most of your work and the all the complaining within your computer.

To prevent hard drive crashes and the need for hard drive recovery we are always warned to back-up our files. Unfortunately we often don't or not as often as we should do. Hard drive recovery experts are somewhat available at a cost, but nowadays the simple use of Hard Drive Recovery Software is, luckily, at our finger tips.

Photo Postage Stamps - Great Innovations in Stamps

Online Photo Stamps are Growing in Popularity

Photo postage stamps arent such a new idea; its been around for years! The USPS (United States Postal Service) briefly suspended the use of such a stamp due to security concerns. There are certainly a number of reasons that the USPS would want to abolish all photo stamps, for example in the height of the anthrax scares a stamp with a scull and cross bones plus the word Anthrax caused a sorting office to shut down for several hours. Although custom photo stamps are legitimate, perhaps getting rid of them would put people off trying to get away with counterfeit postage stamps!

The USPS decided that it would allow another phase of a pilot program allowing companies to sell their customers photo postage stamps. The first stage of the trial was a huge success; however the USPS wants to make sure that these custom postage stamps arent just a fad.

What is a photo postage stamp? Photo postage stamps allow people to put a photo of pretty much whatever they want to on their stamp. There are however exceptions, you cannot for example put pornographic or disturbing images onto your photo stamp.

Photo stamps are useful for:

Weddings Births Anniversaries Business Logos Any Special Occasion Internet pranksters - screening photo stamps for validity Being able to put an image of anything you want onto your stamps is very exciting for most people; however some internet pranksters just take things too far. Some people have tried to order stamps with people like Slobodan Milosevic on them, as these could cause public outrage its important for the organizations that are permitted to produce photo postal stamps to have proper screening processes in place.

Along with controversial figures, the other things that must not be allowed on postage stamps are pornographic images, and also certain religious symbols. Copyright is a tricky subject; technically you should only use material on a stamp that you own the rights to, or have permission to use. Other than this and advertising, the images can be of pretty much anything.

The company that supplies the postage stamps are personally responsible for screening, this is nothing to do with the USPS. The vendors themselves should reject the images that break the strict rules set down by the USPS. The USPS is able to find out which company generated the stamp by looking at the information encoded in the stamps barcode, therefore any company not screening images properly could find themselves losing the rights to print postage.

Where can I get my photo postage stamps? There are three main custom stamp vendors in America , www.stamps.com , which has been a key contender ever since the postal services first trial. Endica are also permitted to produce stamps. Pitney Bowes the popular franking machine manufacturer has realized that photo stamps trespass into their industry, and so they are grabbing hold of this opportunity with both hands and refusing to let go!

Photo stamps are a worldwide phenomenon! Photo postal stamps arent just popular in America , theyre popular worldwide! England has one of the oldest postal services in the world, but even so the Royal Mail is adopting online photo postage stamps. Currently in England you can only buy the stamps directly from the Royal Mail (the equivalent of the USPS), but only time will tell as to when they will adopt the same personalization.

What is data recovery?

Data recovery is the retrieval of inaccessible or contaminated data from media that has been damaged in some way. Data recovery is being increasingly used and is an important process nowadays.

There has been a lot of progress in increasing the memory capacity of data storage devices. Therefore data loss from any one incident also tends to be very high. The relevance of lost data can vary greatly. Maybe you have had the experience of storing a homework assignment on a floppy disk only to have it missing on the day the assignment in due.Consider the fact that a large amount of businesses nowadays have vital organizational related data stored on machines.

Also hospitals store data on patients on computers. Large amounts of websites nowadays use databases technology to enhance their websites and make them more dynamic. Php and MySql use has been on the rise on the Internet. Database failure is not uncommon and so it is not a fail proof method of storing information.Companies have high reliance on computer technology to write and store data relevant to their business operations. Thus the data being stored can have a great deal of impact on personal lives and operations of companies.

There can be several causes of data loss.Data loss can occur from unexpected incidences including national tragedies such as floods and earthquakes.Often power failure can cause loss of data from hard drives. Sudden power surges can also cause a lot of damage to a computer’s hard drive.Accidentally deleting a file or formatting a hard drive or floppy disk is a common reason for data loss.If you have accidentally lost any important documents there are several steps you can take.

Remember that if you have accidentally erased a file, it may not have vanished from your computer. It may have left an imprint in a different format on the computer’s hard drive or other storage devices. Recovering the data involves locating it and transforming it into human readable form. Not all data may be recoverable. You can either hire professional service to help you solve your problem or attempt a recovery on your own.You can carry out data recovery operations on your own computer if you know what you are doing.

There is data recovery software widely available that can assist you in the process.Data recovery can become complicated if you overwrite on the storage device that has the lost data. Therefore if you do not know what you are doing, it is advisable to contact a professional service firm.Data recovery professionals are experts in recovering data from all sorts of media and from a variety of damages done. There are many specialists out there who have years of experience in the IT field.

The kind of data recovery operation to use will depend a great deal on the storage device and other variables such as the amount of damage done or the operation system used such as Macintosh, Windows or Linux. There are some cases where it may be impossible to recover any data. However do not fret as the odds lie in your favor since a high percentage of data recovery operations are successful.

Preventing data loss

Of course the best way is to prevent data loss in the first place.Data backup allows for restoring data if data loss occurs. Even ordinary pc users can set up their computer to carry out regularly scheduled backup operations. In the event of a hard drive crash or an unwise change in settings by an uninformed user, the restore tool can be used to retrieve deleted data or to restore the computer’s settings from an earlier time.

For the back up process to be useful it should involve several reliable backup systems and performing drills to make sure the data is being stored correctly. Additional protection methods from data loss include making sure that the hard drive is protected from damages from the external environment. This includes protection from sunlight and temperature extremes. Also plugging in your pc into a surge protector rather than an ordinary outlet can give your computer a protection layer from electricity fluctuations. Keep your virus protection up to date.

Also remember to keep your backup data separate from your computer.Nevertheless a lot of companies will go through a disaster and experience data loss. The best thing to do is not to panic and also not to ignore the situation. The quicker you rectify the situation the better. Counting on data loss will help you be prepared for any such event.

How to Take Care of your Postage Stamps Collection

Postage Stamps is for great fun

Apart from being a fun and great hobby, collecting postage stamps can also be considered an important and financially rewarding leisure pursuit. For one, there’s very good money in keeping and selling commemorative or rare postage stamps. Also, stamps may be small and simple but they stand for a piece of history, a certain individual and a country. Hence, it’s important to value every postage stamp.

There are a number of ways to take care of these valuable collectibles.

First off, you can buy a waterproof stamp album. Make sure that you buy enough pieces so as to accommodate your entire collection. Alternatively, you may want to purchase a stock book with small pockets you can insert the stamps into. Choose an album that has enough space for each stamp. Let the stamp “breathe”. Besides, it would also look better if each and every stamp gets “featured”. Keep the album off a busy desk and keep food, cigarettes, lighters, matches and drinks at bay. Avoid accidents!

Secondly, don’t use your fingers in handling stamps. Experts of philately (the study of stamps) say that any outside matter such as a fingerprint can decrease the stamp’s value. This is why experts discourage the mere use of fingers to take a stamp off an envelope. They reckon that the best way to take it off is to let the stamped envelope undergo a process called “steaming”. Ask where you can buy a pair of flat bladed stamp collector’s tongs. Use this to transfer each stamp. Avoid using the regular pair of tweezers! The tweezers’ sharp points may damage the stamp.

Thirdly, avoid using both sides of an album page. Doing this allows the stamps on one side to come in contact with the stamps on the other side of the page. Don’t let that happen since it may decrease the value of the stamp.

Fourthly, use inserts for the album. Place them in between pages to further keep the stamps from coming in contact with each other. An ideal insert can be as thin as onion skin paper. Don’t hesitate to ask the local school supply store which inserts are usually bought by stamp collectors.

Fifthly, purchase stamp mounts or clear plastic sleeves with gummed surface. Use these to handle the precious stamps that are still in mint condition. The mounts can help protect the stamps since the gummed surface can maintain the adhesive on the back of the precious stamp.

Lastly, never let your stamps get in contact with direct sunlight. This can cause discoloration and can also melt the adhesive on the back of the stamp.

Preserve your stamps by following these steps. Your collection deserves nothing but proper care.

Things You Should Know About Data Recovery Tools

In order to increase your chances of recovering accidentally deleted data that is no longer available for viewing is to immediately stop using the computer.
Ask yourself this question: What is one of the most widely used devices today by people for work, entertainment, and communication? If you answered the computer, then you are right on track.

The computer is a very convenient device that you can use to store virtually any types of files. From documents to spreadsheets to music and basically any types of data, it will be able to serve you a great deal of convenience and efficiency.

We really can't help but marvel at the technology we have today. However, although the computer is a very convenient tool, you need to understand its storage components as it is considered to be one of the major players in a computer system. The hard disk drive is where you store most of your files and with today's technology hard disk drives today can store virtually millions of documents and hundreds of full length movies.

However, efficient as it may be, you have to consider the fact that hard disk drives are just like any machines where it is subjected to fail sometime in the future. In fact, it is a very sensitive device where a simple fluctuation of electricity may cause damage. It is so sensitive that even static electricity can cause damage.

This is the reason why data recovery is very important. Always remember that no matter how much care you put in your hard drive, it will eventually fail sometime in the near future. Although it may not be tomorrow, you should ask yourself if you are willing to wait for that time to come before taking any actions.

Surely you want to take the necessary precautions just in case data loss happens or hard disk drive failure happens to you.

Today, there are quite a lot of tools available for data recovery. Data recovery is a method to recover lost data from hard disk drives that failed or that was damaged. Today's modern operating systems are now integrating data recovery software as part of the program. You will see that with Microsoft Windows, it will come with a chkdsk facility. With Apple Mac OS X, you will have the disk utility and with the Linux operating system, you will have the fsck utility.

All these programs are effective data recovery tools that come with the operating system.

However, you have to remember that these tools can only repair minor inconsistencies in the hard disk drive. With major problems, or a large scale data loss, you will need a much powerful data recovery tool. Usually, these third party software programs can be purchased over the internet and most are far more powerful than built in data recovery utilities when it comes to recovering data from a damaged hard disk drive. Basically, data recovery tools use two techniques to recover lost data. The first is through consistency checking where it performs a scan on the logical structure of the hard disk drive. This way, it will also make sure that it is consistent with the specification.

Secondly, the data recovery tool will analyze the file system and uses hints and recover bits of the undamaged files and put it together to rebuild the destroyed file.

Today, there are quite a lot of data recovery tools available in the market. All you need to do is look for one that is easy to use and one that is effective in recovering lost data.

Remanufactured Inkjet Cartridges

Ever wanted to know how the big boys make remanufactured inkjet cartridges? Read on and I'll give you a quick outline of what you actually get when you buy a remanufactured inkjet cartridge.

The first thing to realize is that refillers, or Remanufacturers only remanufacture inkjet cartridges that contain a print head. Those include Hewlett Packard and Lexmark. All the others are variations of the aforementioned cartridges. This is because the generic or compatible cartridges for the others, Canon, Epson etc., are very cheap and they could not make a profit by remanufacturing them.

Step 1. The Empties Search.

In order to remanufacture an inkjet cartridge you must first have the empty one to refill. When a new printer using a new cartridge is introduced it may take several months if not years for the empty cartridges to become available in the quantity that warrants the refiller to make the investment to tool up for remanufacture. As of this date a very popular HP cartridge that was on the market for over a year is still very scarce as remanufactured. A very popular Lexmark cartridge, the 12A1970 cartridge is almost impossible to locate because Lexmark is buying them back, but these are articles unto themselves.

The inkjet cartridge remanufacturer carefully inspects the cartridges for blemishes and for evidence that is has been previously refilled. They must be "virgin" cartridges (never refilled) or they won't get refilled. (By most scrupulous remanufactures)

Next the cartridges are electrically tested using sophisticated electronic equipment that tests the print heads and related electronics. This will be a 100% pass/fail test. No in betweens here. Anything under 100% gets tossed.

Step 2. Cleaning.

Each cartridge is cleaned ultrasonically inside and out. All remaining ink is thoroughly flushed from the cartridge and they are bathed in a cleaning solvent.

Step 3. Refilling.

Here is where to pros are separated from the hobbyist. To properly refill a cartridge there must be a measurable balance between ink flow, vacuum and pressure. Very expensive refilling machines are needed to accomplish this task properly. The machine will have the capacity to refill many cartridges at the same time. The cartridges get snapped in place and when all the gizmos are set properly they all get filled at the same time.

Step 4. Resealing.

After the cartridges are filled with ink, certain ones must be resealed. Clever techniques are used here so you can't tell that is was refilled. I can show you but then I'd have to..... well you get the picture.

Step 5. Testing.

This stage requires several tests and refillers will not always take them in the same order so I'll just tell you the ones I know about. Print tests are done by either using a regular inkjet printer designed to use that cartridge. A test pattern of some sort will gauge the quality of the printout. Other refillers use a fancy machine that prints out a test strip that checks to make sure all the nozzles are firing properly.

Some remanufactures use equipment that test for altitude pressure. If the pressure in a cartridge gets too high during shipment the cartridge will leak.

Step 6. Packaging.

The cartridges are physically inspected once more. The print heads are professionally taped using a machine that applies tape to the heads with the exact pressure necessary. This is not guess work. Print head sealing tape applied the wrong way may damage the cartridge.

The cartridges are then sealed in bags, some remanufactures vacuum seal the bags, others do not. Actually I have not seen any difference in performance using either method.

Lastly they are put in pretty boxes and stored in an upright position with the print heads pointing down. This is important because if the cartridges are laid on their sides it's possible that they can loose their prime. This is why so many inkjet cartridges with print heads don't work when they are shipped through the mail.

Math is used Everywhere in the World

It is important to study math because it is used in many sciences and other fields. The world today depends on math more than ever.

As a math tutor, I tutor many subjects related to math. Subjects such as business, engineering, science, and others all depend on math in one way or another. Since it is obvious that much of the world depends on the knowledge contained in these subjects, it would also depend on math.

One of the things that help out the student in his quest for learning math is to understand its value in the world around him. For example, business decisions depend on being able to calculate rates of return to your on investment. In order to calculate these rates of return, percentages must be divided by other percentages and raised to the power of some number usually represented by time.

In engineering, math is used to give definition to new concepts. For example, a new design would require a blueprint with certain measurements on it. The design on the blueprint would be calculated to perform a certain function which would give the desired result. The task of putting something in numbers and relating it mathematically is called quantification. By quantifying something we're giving it a mathematical definition. As a result, when something is defined by math we can tell exactly what it will do.

In the field of medicine, the dosage of medicine has to be known in order to give a patient a proper dosage. When a new drug is discovered, it is tested the laboratory to find out the effects of various doses and the effects of these doses are measured on subjects or specimens. When the drug enters the real world, it has to be known how it will affect people of different body sizes and metabolisms. Getting the drug to work properly requires knowing math in order to get the desired result.

In the sciences such as physics, math is used to quantify phenomenon in the universe. Physical forces and their effects are represented by numbers and the effects of these forces are calculated using mathematical formulas. This is not just in physics but also in other sciences such as chemistry. Also in biology, energy cycles are measured and relationships between animals and living organisms in the environment are calculated in measured. In economics, interest rates and growth rates are calculated using math in order to understand what state the national economy is in. Math is used in other sciences as well such as psychology, sociology, geology as well as others.

When one can see that math is all around them and is manifested in many different forms it is easier to understand why it is important to learn. With this understanding in mind students who learn math are motivated to learn and understand mathematical concepts. They would better understand how to apply math to solve problems in the real world.

Top Reasons To Recycle Inkjet Cartridges

Find out the top reasons why you should be recycling your empty inkjet cartridges.

Recycling empty inkjet cartridges is an easy way for anybody to help to reduce the impact on our landfills.

Here are 5 great reasons to recycle your empty inkjet cartridges:

To start with, almost 3 entire pounds of resources involved in production are saved when a cartridge is recycled.

Next, an average inkjet cartridge takes an average of 3.5 oz. of oil to be manufactured. This can really add up over time.

The third reason you should recycle or reuse your empty inkjet cartridges is to reduce the strain on local landfills. An inkjet cartridge does not biodegrade in a landfill, as other waste will over time. Once a cartridge is discarded, it will be there for several hundred years. Did you know that each year over 300 million printer cartridges are thrown away? This equates into about 75,000 tons of garbage. To give you an idea how much that is, that he is equal in late to nearly 30,000 full grown African elephants.

The forth reason is the buying remanufactured (recycled) inkjet cartridges continue money. Recycling your empty cartridges provides empty cores to cartridge remanufacturing companies that in turn, professionally refill and sell to users at a discounted price. Consumers will see the same reliability, performance and quality as using an original brand OEM cartridge but at a lower cost.

Lastly, recycling your empty inkjet cartridges is relatively easy. In fact, a lots of companies that offer remanufactured cartridges have their own recycling programs.

An easy method for printer owners to recycle inkjet cartridges is through the use of postage paid return envelopes that are sometimes included with an online inkjet cartridge purchase.

A return mailer (recycle envelope) is usually a self-sealing plastic bag that is pre-addressed to a recycling company. The consumer puts their empty inkjet cartridge into the bag, seals it, and drops it off at a post office or any mailbox. The postage is included, and the whole process takes just a few seconds.

If you are going to need more ink, a great way to recycle is through the use of an inkjet cartridge refilling service such as the Jetpak mailer program.

With the Jetpak mailer program, the customer purchases a special refilling service mailer in advance. When the customer runs out of ink, they place the empty cartridge into the postage paid mailing box and drop it in the mail. When the cartridge refilling company receives the empty cartridge, the refilling service cleans, inspects, and professionally refills the cartridges and mails it back to the customer.

In about one week the refilled cartridge is returned. This provides a big savings over buying a new cartridge and also lowers the strain on our landfills.

Why recycle? Why not recycle?

It reduces garbage, saves money, saves natural resources, and as the responsible thing to do.

Just because an empty inkjet cartridge is out of ink, doesn't mean it's broken.

It just means that its prime for recycling.

Massage Therapy and Your Health

We all know that having a massage is a wonderful way to pamper our senses. While we have at sometime or another experienced a massage very few of us realize what massage therapy really means. A message therapy has benefits that people can soon after the massage has started.

However for the person to receive the full benefits from a massage session it is important for a number of follow up massage therapy sessions to take place. Massage therapy can heal our body from various types of problems that conventional medication sometimes has difficulty with.

Massage therapy is basically a therapy that is based on various massage techniques. These different techniques are both Western and Eastern in origin and some of them are centuries old is term of use.

When these techniques are used by a trained individual the person who is being given a massage will almost immediately experience the healing therapies that are found in massage therapy usage.

To get the best effects from these different forms of massage therapy you will need to discuss what form of treatment you want. You will need to say why you want to have a massage. To be more accurate you will have to tell the massage therapist if you have any muscular pains, respiratory difficulties, blood circulatory problems and other injuries that require a medical form of massage therapy.

Your massage therapy session can include different types of massage techniques that will help the specific problems that you might be going through. When you talk with your masseuse about the massage therapy that you will be having you should state if you want to be wearing your underclothes.

You can state if you would rather be comfortable with a towel or sheet draped over the various parts of your body that will not be involved in the massage. You will need to make sure that you understand how the massage will be carried out and the benefits that you can expect to experience.

For the masseuse to give you a really good massage you should inform the person if you have any medical or physical conditions that can be affected by a massage. This is important as your masseuse will need to be able to work the various sections of your body without worrying about causing you unneeded pain.

Massage Therapy and Your Foot

While many of us have experienced having our bodies and necks massaged and soothingly rubbed there are very few of us who think that our feet might need this pampering too. A foot massage is the best type of pampering that we can give our tired and aching feet.

You can give your feet a soothing foot massage or ask a friend to help you have a foot massage. To start your foot massage you will need to have your feet cleaned. You can soak your feet in Epsom salts, lavender or peppermint oil for 10 minutes in a warm water foot bath.

Dry the feet thoroughly and make sure that even the area between your toes is dry. Once the feet are beginning to dry you will need to rub some soothing oil on your feet. Hold one foot in your lap and use one hand to support this foot.

With the other hand you should begin to massage the top of the foot. For this part of the foot massage you will need to use your thumbs. Slow, firm, stroking motions that start at your toes and move upwards to the ankles are the best way to start this foot massage.

When you are near the ankles the foot massage will follow the same path back down to your toes. The return journey should be accompanied by slow stroking with the thumbs providing the required massage. The pressure that is applied at the toes should be lighter than at the ankle. You will need to repeat this foot massage 5 times.

Next in a cupping motion you will need to gently hold the heel of your foot. With your free hand hold the top of the foot and gently rotate the foot. The first rotation should be done clockwise and next anticlockwise.

Repeat this step about 4 times to relax, calm and de-stress your aching foot and ankle joints. This foot massage must be done gently so that you don’t end up hurting your foot as a result of the foot massage.

When you have completed rotating the foot you will need to give your soles a really soothing foot massage. This part of the foot massage begins at the base of your big toe. The foot massage for the toes starts with the big toe.

Once your big toe has been given a de-stressing massage, the foot massage will then move towards the other toes. Gentle rolling motions can provide the ball of your foot a relaxing foot massage.

By the time your foot massage will have been carried out on both of your feet, you will have calmed down and your day’s stresses will have vanished as well. The added bonus is that your feet are all ready for walking around your home with no aches or pains to be felt.

The Truth About Hypnosis

If you are new to Hypnosis or have just never tried it you may feel skeptical, reserved or even slightly frightened by the subject. So, here are some key information about hypnosis, trance and the its possible benefits so you can make an informed decision as to whether you want to try it or not.

Hypnosis, Self Hypnosis and Trance are all one and the same thing. They are basically just tools. Tools that allow you to quickly and easily reshape how you think, feel and view your world, your peers and yourself. However, a great many people are losing out on the benefits this fantastic tool offers simply because they have a lack of understanding or misunderstanding of the entire subject. Below you will find some key points about Hypnosis that will, hopefully, arm you with the knowledge you need to decide for yourself what hypnosis is and what it can do for you.

Hypnosis is older than you can imagine. It has been employed for various reasons over thousands of years. Hypnosis, or more accurately trance, is a completely natural state of mind which you move in and out of everyday. It is, in effect, an altered state of consciousness. You are neither asleep nor are you completely conscious or wide awake. A common illustration of this can be seen in the simple act of watching a movie. If you are enjoying the movie then, albeit only temporarily, your conscious mind stops processing your immediate surroundings as you emerse yourself in the world that is being presented to you on the screen. If you did not enter into a light state of trance while watching such programmes they would not give the pleasure they do.

You must "lose yourself" in the characters believing them to be real people in order for the film and plot to be entertaining. We all know how bad a film is when we just can't make a connection with the characters, so we just don't find them convincing - the movie loses its hypnotic power and no longer becomes entertaining! Hypnotic trance is really just a state of deep relaxation which creates, what are called alpha and sometimes theta waves in the brain. Sometimes a subject can be in a fairly deep state of trance without even knowing it, they merely think they are very relaxed. In very rare cases the subject thinks they just fell asleep!

Everyone can be hypnotized. However, all forms of Hypnosis are really self hypnosis. For in order to be hypnotized you must first be willing to hand over control to the hypnotist. Without consensual participation from a subject a hypnotist is virtually powerless. Having said that, it is extremely difficult to hypnotise a person who is very drunk, or has taken drugs (these people are already in a self-induced state of trance and directing them into a different altered state becomes almost impossible). In addition it is impossible to hypnotize someone who is adamant they don't want to undergo hypnosis!

Hypnotherapy is a very specific form of hypnosis mostly used by health care professionals. As hypnosis is an extremely powerful tool for gaining access to the subconscious mind many emotionally created illnesses can be treated with hypnotherapy. In fact, as the medical profession becomes more aware of the role the mind plays in illness and healing, they have that some physical ailments, such as warts and skin disorders like eczema, can be successfully treated with hypnosis. Simply stated Hypnotherapy is an alternative therapy that uses hypnosis as a catalyst for creating inner change in a patient that may take months or even years of traditional therapy techniques.

Hypnosis is completely safe! It is just an efficient quick method for entering a deep relaxed, natural state of mind and body. There are no drugs involved, no unpleasant nor unwanted side-effects and it is in no way addictive. All you need is a soothing trained voice, a comfortable couch or chair, a willingness to participate and some free time.

You are always in control of yourself before, during and after a hypnosis session. If you are a particularly "good subject" you may forget the experience afterwards but during the hypnosis session you are always aware of what is happening! You cannot be made to do nor say anything that is against your moral or ethical codes not matter what Hollywood may tell you in "The Manchurian Candidate"! You will be able to hear everything that is being said to and everything that is happening around you. There are many people who actually become very sensitive to their environment. Their 5 senses become heightened and they are even more aware of the smallest of details while in trance. Of course you go back to normal upon "wakening".

The vast majority of people remember everything that was said to them by the therapist when the hypnosis session is over. In fact it's a pretty good bet to say that everyone who reads this article will be in that group.

It is the job of a hypnotherapist to make you feel comfortable before, during and after a session so if, at anytime, you feel uncomfortable with what the therapist is doing or saying tell them to stop! In order to get the most from any hypnosis session you must be able to relate to the hypnotist or hypnotherapist and trust them. For this reason all reputable hypnosis professionals give a free consultation before you ever enter a trance state. Seek out a hypnotist you feel comfortable with and who makes you feel that they can get the results that you are looking for - after all you are in charge!

Hypnosis is merely a tool. It is a highly effective method for producing inner change that is permanent. I can understand that some religions forbid their followers to take part in anything that may cause them to lose control of their mental, emotional and conscious functions but believing that hypnosis or a hypnotist can do any of these things is just a misunderstanding of the process. Hypnosis in no way interferes with your free will. You will not do anything that is against your ethics. You will not do anything that is unacceptable to you. Neither will you do anything that is against your moral code or which feels wrong to do. If strutting around like a chicken would cause you serious embarrassment then you just won't do it!

There is no danger of becoming trapped in a trance state. This is another Hollywood myth designed for entertainment purposes and has absolutely no basis in fact. The real fact is, you can terminate the hypnotic session at any time you wish just by opening your eyes and stretching! If, for any reason, you found yourself left in a hypnotized trance state, whether by a therapist or while listening to a self hypnosis recording, you would either fall into a light natural sleep (waking after a short nap) or you would return to full consciousness immediately!

The cost of hypnosis and hypnotherapy vary depending on your location, the popularity of the therapist, and the length and nature of the sessions you wish to purchase. Don't go for the cheap option! Take advantage of the free consultations by visiting several hypnotherapists before making your choice, that's why they have these consultations. A good start is to experience hypnosis through a carefully chosen tape, CD or MP3. By using a pre-made recording you can experience, in the comfort of your own home or office, the relaxing meditative state of trance and see whether it is for you or not!

Three Areas of Cat Pampering

We often think of cat pampering as nothing more than laying a series of high-priced custom cat food dinners and toys in front of a pet. Although great toys and tasty meals can be a part of cat pampering, there are many more options available to cat owners who want to spoil their fuzzy friends!

It should be noted that the desire to pamper a cat generally stems from a love for the animal, combined with an awareness that providing some additional attention might also improve the nature of the cat/owner relationship.

It can be helpful to look at the cat pampering landscape as being divided into three main components. There is emotional pampering, physical pampering and food pampering.

Emotional pampering is an area often overlooked by those who are not cat owners. They see only the outward signs of a pampered pet (the toys, etc.) and miss out on this aspect completely.

Emotional pampering is probably the most effective means of developing a stronger bond with one’s cat. Put simply, it involves providing the animal with unconditional love and demonstrating that love frequently in any number of forms.

Some will lavish attention on a cat in the form of praise. For others it may be a cutesy song and a belly rub. There are limitless variations and permutations on emotional pampering. Regardless of the exact technique used, however, there is one common thread—the attempt to show the cat just how much they are loved.

Physical pampering involves proving the pet with special “extras” to improve the quality of their life and to convey to them how highly they are regarded. Emotional pampering may have a physical component (i.e. the aforementioned belly rub), but physical pampering involves more involved actions.

Examples of physical pampering may include when an owner combs out a longhaired cat’s fur.

Owners who carefully trim back the nails of their cats are providing a kind of physical pampering. One of the most obvious examples of physical kitty pampering is the cat massage. The owner of the pet provides the cat with a light rubdown.

Food pampering involves providing the cat with edible proofs of one’s caring. This can be as simple as a few factory-produced cat treat snacks in the evening or can take the form of a special homemade cat food prepared fresh by the owner and served warm to the pet. Food pampering is a commonly used technique because multiple options are so readily available.

Many owners will purchase “gourmet” cat food in order to give their favorite pet a more enjoyable culinary experience. Owners who want to impress upon the animals just how much they care regularly treat some cats to special foods and snacks.

Cat pampering can take many forms. It can range from the simple prolonged petting of a lap cat in the evening to the building of a complicated series of cat toys in the form of a “kitty condo.” In between the extremes are literally an endless series of ways by which one could spoil their cat.

Cat owners have long recognized that pampering a cat is not merely an interesting diversion. It also has some very real advantages to both the cat and the owner. They are able to develop a closer, more significant bond. The cat/owner relationship can be very important to some people and this is their chief goal in pampering the animal. Others are more altruistically concerned with providing cats with whatever is necessary to improve the overall quality of their lives.

Regardless of motivation, many are trying to pamper their cats. One of the best ways of finding a pet pampering strategy that will really work for an owner is to review a guide on the subject matter in order to discover helpful hints and an overview of pampering techniques. Even those who do not make use of a singly strategy still usually find themselves inspired by what they have encountered. Whether the owner’s predilections lean toward emotional, physical or food pampering, they are sure to find ideas that will help them to pamper their cat effectively.

Hypnosis

HYPNOSIS is a state of induced but conscious sleep through the process of suggestion. Hypnosis must be readily accepted by the subject in order...

for the hypnosis to be achieved. Usually, the process of hypnosis involves a hypnotist and a subject. Hypnosis is characterized by deep concentration and extreme relaxation. And of course, a high degree of suggestibility. Different social settings are utilized for hypnosis. From the showroom to the clinic, to the classroom and even police stations.

Hypnosis may or may not work for individuals using this format for pain relief, addictions, fear and other problems such as weight control, quitting smoking, etc. The subject's degree of suggestibility is truly the core portal for hypnosis. This trance-like state is commonly viewed as an altered state of consiousness.Hypnosis provides accessibility to the unconscious and subconscious mind.

Repressed memories, multiple personalities, insights or even past life memories can be accessed via hypnosis. Although Freud was the father of repression, he gave up using hypnosis in therapy; however, hypnosis continues to be used still today. Can You Spoil Your Cat?

Cats, despite their loveable and inimitable independent tendencies, really do thrive when attention is lavished upon them. Often nearly standoffish absent a great deal of attention, cats seem to develop a closer relationship to their owners when pampered.

As a result, cat owners often look for new and interesting ways to give their cats extra attention. Cat pampering can take a variety of forms, ranging form simple extended petting sessions to homemade meals to elaborate toys.

Many cat owners have been accused of giving too much attention to their pets. People will argue that these well-intended owners are actually “spoiling” their cats by going out their way to show them attention and concern. Is this a valid concern? Can one truly pamper their cat too much?

The wise among us tell us to practice moderation in all things. The same, it would seem, should apply to cat pampering. At some point, too much pampering surely occurs, spoiling a cat and creating a needy animal. However, compared with other pets (most notably dogs), there is a wide margin of error with cats. Most of those who pamper their cats will see far greater benefits from their efforts than they will detriments.

Cats do need to understand that there are rules and boundaries. There are parts of every home and certain activities that must be forbidden in order for the human and his or her pet to function in the same household comfortably. Cats, luckily, are notoriously quick studies and usually pick up on these limits quickly and tend to abide by them.

Thus, it is very difficult to spoil a cat too much so long as those basic ground rules are observed and enforced. As long as a cat owner does not allow the animal to break these core rules, there is little risk in spoiling a cat.

Will a cat become more needy if attention is lavished upon him or her? Probably so. The cat who is frequently given pets and rubs will surely begin to expect them and will come back for more. Is this really a negative, though? Most cat owners would argue it is actually a benefit! After all, the cat enjoys the attention, the owner enjoys providing the attention and in the meantime the cat/owner bond and relationship is strengthened.

It is possible to allow a cat to develop unrealistic expectations or to become fairly demanding. Cats will begin to view pampering as “their due” and will insist upon it. In this sense, it could be argued that too much pampering is a bad thing. However, the cat’s expectations will seldom reach the point where they are unreasonable. In some ways, this development of an expectation is actually advantageous, as it can compel an owner to consistently show attention and love to his or her feline companion.

When one considers all of this, it becomes fairly clear that even if spoiling a cat is possible, the negative repercussions of the spoiling will be relatively minor so long as the owner does not create a situation where he or she cannot keep up with the expectations of the pet.

A cat owner can feel relatively comfortable that his or her kind and pampering acts toward a cat will do very little damage while significantly improving the quality of life for both the cat and the owner.

Yes, there are extreme cases where a spoiled cat could be developed and there could certainly be some annoyance and frustration as a result. However, it is hard to reach this point. The natural independence of cats generally serves as insulation from any such problem.

Cat owners can pamper their cats without too much concern about creating a “needy monster.”

Instead, the pamperer is far more likely to create a loving pet.

You can spoil you cat, but you really have to try in order to do so. Cat pampering is unlikely to create major problems for either the owner or the pet and should not be avoided due to fears of spoiling the cat.

Taking the Mystery out of Hypnosis

I’ve compiled and addressed some of my favorite hypnosis myths to help clarify exactly what hypnosis is, and more to point, what it is not.

Much of society’s resistance to hypnosis is based on false beliefs perpetuated by a fear of the unknown. I’ve compiled and addressed some of my favorite myths to help clarify exactly what hypnosis is, and more to point, what it is not.

Myth #1 - Hypnotists have some kind of special power: Entertainment media plays a significant role in sensationalizing the word hypnosis. At the risk of demystifying the term, I submit that there is no trickery involved whatsoever. Skilled hypnotists operate from a basic understanding of humans and human experiences. The hypnotic state can be achieved alone, which refutes the point that hypnotists are somehow magical. It also suggests that anyone can induce hypnosis, either on themselves or on someone else. The real skill lies in how we use hypnosis to influence people.

Myth #2 – Only weak minded people can be hypnotized: Interestingly, concentration is the basis for achieving hypnosis, and the ability to concentrate requires a strong intellect. The greater your ability to concentrate, the better a hypnotic subject you will be. Suggestibility is unrelated to intelligence, and our susceptibility to suggestion is not indicative of weakness or gullibility. The decision to accept a treatment or service that you feel will benefit you is a conscious, calculated decision, not an act of weak mindedness.

Myth #3 - Hypnosis can only work on certain people: To this, I say, sure… if you really don’t want to be hypnotized, you can certainly impeach the process. Certain people will benefit more from hypnosis than others, because they are motivated to get more out of it. Your level of suggestibility cannot be altered, but your commitment and the degree of concentration that you invest can and will influence how much you get out of hypnotherapy. Hypnosis works for everyone. It’s the degree that varies, and this variable is entirely up to you.

Myth #4 – You will be able to recall everything that has ever happened to you: If there is any benefit to you whatsoever in recalling certain specific times or events in your life, then a good hypnotist can help you do that. But typically, there is no real need to go back and remember the past. Hypnosis is a natural state of total relaxation. Regression is a different thing.

Myth #5 - You can be made to say or do something against your will: Hypnosis is a natural state of complete relaxation, not a state of sleep. In this relaxed state, you become highly susceptible to suggestion, but you don’t become a different person. Achieving a state of heightened suggestion does not compromise your faculties, morals, ethics, or beliefs. Being hypnotized won’t lead you to say or do things against your will. If you’re asked to do something you don’t want to do, you will simply refuse.

Myth #6 – People who are hypnotized become dependent on the hypnotist: Hypnosis when used as a form of therapy and carries no greater risk of dependency than any other form of therapy. While in hypnosis, you’re in full control of what happens to you. Hypnotherapy is a means of empowerment, achieved with the assistance of an outside entity. It’s not submissiveness, and it’s not a surrender of control. You have the ability to pull yourself out spontaneously, at any moment.

Myth #7 – Hypnosis is bad for your health: The irony here is that the very essence of hypnosis is regularly recommended by physicians and psychotherapists. These trusted health professionals invariably advise us that we need to relax more, yet they seldom state how. When you are hypnotized, you are quite simply in a deep, natural state of relaxation.

Myth #8 – When in hypnosis you could get stuck and be unable to wake up: Hypnosis is a natural state which we all reach from time to time on our own, without prompting of any kind. There is absolutely no danger of getting stuck in this state. It’s about as likely as getting stuck completely asleep, really. The worst that can possibly happen is that you drift off into deep sleep for a few minutes, because you are in that bridged state between awake and asleep.

Myth #9 - You’re asleep or unconscious when in hypnosis: If people were asleep or unconscious when in hypnosis, they would not be able to report on what they were feeling. In fact, you are fully aware of what’s happening, and you are able to recall your state of hypnosis. Some describe it as feeling heavy, some light, others just very relaxed. Typically, the body will feel as though it’s gone to sleep, but the mind remains alert and receptive to the suggestion.

Myth #10 - Hypnosis is the devils work and is dangerous: In the past I’ve heard some religious people refer to hypnosis as the ‘devils work’. Like anything else, hypnosis can be used for good or for bad, but it is left to us to find a trusted hypnotist. Hypnosis is a natural occurring state, widely used by respected health care professionals. There are lots of doctors who practice hypnotherapy. I doubt very much that they are in league with the devil. As with other unknowns, we quite readily make assumptions or suppositions about things that we aren’t sure of, and usually when we explore more closely, we find the reality is in fact quite different than the impression we had formed. I hope I’ve managed to dispel some of the untruths about hypnosis, as it would be shame to deny oneself the benefits of hypnotherapy because of unfounded doubt or false impressions.

Types of Parrots

Interested in parrots? Welcome to the world of the flying feathers. All types of parrots are brightly colored with a few exceptions. Some types of parrots are small, cuddly and cute. Others are bigger and grander than their smaller relations. The most common types of parrots are green in color and make wonderful pets. They are usually small in size and have amazing talking abilities.

There are some types of parrots that are multi-colored. They come in bright blue, yellow, green, white and mixtures of two or more of these colors. They are often nicknamed winged rainbows. Some of these types of parrots are wild while some are docile in nature. Some make wonderful pets while some are too independent to be bound down by humans. Some types of parrots are as dependent on us as our children would be. They love company and love to mimic human voices.

Almost all types of parrots eat fruits, vegetables, chicken and a lot of seeds. Most types of parrots tend to become moody and begin to pluck their feathers if they are not in the right state of mind or if they are unhealthy. There are many species of parrots available. The most common types of parrots can be grouped under the following heads:

PARROTS: Parrots are a very popular group of birds. Parrots are intelligent animals that depend on some degree of socialization and will not be good pets unless they are taught and patterned to be good pets.

MACAWS: Macaws are flamboyant, colorful, intelligent and captivating birds. However, like ill-trained children, macaws can be a major embarrassment if they are not well trained.

CONURES: In the wild conures are friendly, peaceful birds and seldom fight with each other. Conures are known for their sweet dispositions and playfulness. They definitely have a mind of their own.

COCKATOOS: Cockatoos make wonderful pets because of their sweet nature. Cockatoos love to be cuddled and bond very easily with their human owners.PARAKEETS: Parakeets have as many variations of their breed as there are varieties of their color. 'Parakeets' actually means "small parrots".

COCKATIELS: Cockatiels are ideal for the first time pet owner. They are characteristically happy and cheerful birds, never moody or demanding.

BUDGIES: The word "budgie" is short for budgerigar which is a native green and yellow bird in Australia. They make wonderful pets because of their relatively gentle, gregarious and entertaining personalities.

Finding the Best Airfare Deals

There are few things that can be more enjoyable than taking a vacation. Dreaming about a gentle island breeze seducing you into an afternoon nap or planning your trekking adventure, any idea of an escape is always welcome. Unlike some people, I find planning my vacations very enjoyable. I love looking for information about destinations, hotel accommodations, and airfare deals. The best airfare deals are normally found when buying a vacation package, but you can sometimes avail yourself of great discounts when purchasing separately.

Cyberspace has oodles of websites that will willingly assist you in finding the airfare deals that you are seeking. I have been impressed with the accuracy of several sites on the Internet. Last year, I booked a marvelous airfare deal through Orbitz that saved more money than I would have otherwise. I am unable to suggest which travel sites are the best because I have compared many of them and found that most of them are offering very similar deals.

To be honest, my travel agent wasn't charging me much more than those travel sites were. It may be worth to pay a few extra dollars to have the convenience of having an agent to worry about the details of your vacation. It all depends on your availability and the size of your budget.

Since I live on the east coast, a trip to the west coast is always very exciting. The most memorable was a vacation trip to California. I spent about a week comparing the cost of entertainment and hotel prices. Then I spent a few days checking out some airfare deals. I was amazed to discover how different each airlines cost was. I did mange to locate great deals on the World-Wide-Web and took advantage o them.

Resorts, like Sandals, permit you to buy a package that includes hotel and airfare accommodations. I was unable to break down all of the costs to find out which purchase was the best way to go, but I feel that choosing the package is better than searching for wonderful airfare deals and hotel rates. To make you vacation less stressful, let someone else take care of all the details for you.

It is would be wise to be wary of those airfare deals that have numerous restrictions in fine print. Take time to read all those minute words and make sure that you are not paying for something that you do not want. Some airfare deals require many layovers or night flights. If youre not bothered by night flights or layovers, you may find yourself benefiting from saving a lot of money on airfare deals.

The Windows Backup utility provides various types of backups. One should carefully choose the backup type according to his / her needs. There are different combinations of backups available; Normal, Copy, Incremental, Differential, and Daily.

Normal Backups

A normal backup is the first step to any backup plan. When the Normal backup option is selected; all the selected files and folders are backed up and the archive attribute of all files are cleared.

Normal backups are the most time consuming process but prove more efficient at the time of restoration than other backup types.

Copy Backups

A copy backup option is not considered as a planned schedule backup, all the selected files and folders are backed up. Archive attributes of the files are not cleared while this option is selected.

Incremental Backups

Incremental backups are the fastest backup process. An incremental backup backs up the files and folders which were last created or modified or changed since last normal or incremental backup.

An incremental backup backs up files that are created or changed since the last normal or incremental backup. After the backup is performed the archive attributes of the files are cleared. Restoration of data from an incremental backup requires the last normal backup and all the following incremental backups. These backups need to be restored in the same manner as they were created.

Note: If any media in the incremental backup set is damaged or data becomes corrupt, the data backed up after corruption cannot be restored.

Differential Backups

Differential backup’s backs up those files which were created or changed since the last normal backup. Archive attributes of the files does not get cleared after taking the backup with the differential backup method. The restoration process of files from differential backup is more efficient than an incremental backup.

How to Find Cheap Airfare

Summer is the most expensive time to travel to Europe so finding cheap airfare is nearly impossible. While I've been able to fly from Chicago to the London for under $500 in the winter, I am lucky to find anything under $800-900 in the summer which really is frustrating because of course I want to be there when the weather is nice (although we all know the weather is rarely nice in England) and somewhat warm. I've searched tons of websites for the last 3 months looking for something decent and I found something just the other day so I thought I'd share. I'm sure this site has great deals available anywhere, not just from the US to the UK.

First, go to http://www.airlineconsolidator.com/infobook_fs.html Put your information in and see what comes up. A lot of the time it's "cack" as my fiancé would say but there's a little link towards the bottom of the page that what you're really looking for. Scroll down a bit and click where it says:

"If availability is not found or to scour the web for additional cheap international flights, please click here"

That is where the real treasures are to be found.

The trick is to be patient and try every day until something you like comes up. Some days the site doesn't work at all, others it's very slow (I've had to use the reload button a lot on some days) but I've used them before and they ARE reliable. Use your credit card and call the airline directly after you make your reservations to confirm them if you're nervous about it.

Also, they say it will cost usually between $200-300 if you want to make any last minute changes or cancel your flight. I've found if you call the airline directly instead of going through Airline Consolidator.com you'll get a better deal (around $100). Of course it's best to not change your flight at all...you can get deals at the last minute that are just as good.

Happy Flying and don't forget to join the mile high club!

Darts is a fun social sport, the history of which can be traced back to the days of the longbow in medieval England. The enduring popularity of the sport can be attributed to its being a game that combines skill, talent, and a bit of luck. The upper classes of the times soon put their own stamp on the game. Henry VIII was well known for his immense love of the game, and was presented with a beautifully ornate set by Anne Boleyn.

The sport began as part of training in the martial art of archery. Historians infer, because it is not known for certain, that teachers of archery shortened some arrows and asked their students to throw them at the bottom of an empty wine barrel. The fact that the bottom of an empty wine barrel was used is a clue to how the game evolved into a pastime. It is believed that the soldiers took their shortened arrows on their visit to the local drinking establishment to exhibit their skill, while having fun there. Gradually, some inventive dart thrower introduced a cross section of a moderate-sized tree. The “board” had rings, and upon drying, further segmentation was provided by the cracks. Thus, from the cracked and dried cross section of a tree evolved the modern-day dart board.

The history of darts in the United States can be traced to the Pilgrims. These tough colonizers are believed to have played the game on board the Mayflower as it made its ocean crossing. Later, the game was played fervently in the United States as a favorite pastime.

It was around 1900 that the rules for darts became what they are today. The size of the board, distance for throwing, and even the size of the darts were standardized. Today, around the world, organized teams play for trophies and professional leagues. The prominent associations worldwide for dart games are World Darts Federation (WDF), British Darts Organization and Darts Federation of Australia.

A set of 18-gram brass darts costs around $10, whereas a set of tungsten darts is $140. Prices vary depending on the material the dart is made of, as well as any extras like moveable points or special paint jobs. Prices differ from catalog to catalog as well.
