I went for the second interview this morning. My future employer asked few questions related to my sales experience and achievement for the past years. I think I managed to convince him that I capable to carry out the tasks given and look for new opportunities.
If everything goes well, I will join the company early or in the middle of next week. I think my brain ihas been dormant for a while and rusty at the same time...
cheers...

Golf Tips Presents: How To Putt
The game of golf should be learned from the green back to the tee. That means putting, chipping, fairway shots, and THEN drives. Remember, most shots in a round are from around the green!!!!
The average golfer's tendency, when putting, is to use too much of their wrists and arms, thus breaking down their wrists through the putt. No! No!! NO!!!! DO NOT BREAK YOUR WRISTS!!
First it hurts (ok, couldn't resist), second, you LOSE CONTROL!!!To become a great putter, the perfect combination of shoulders and arms should be used throughout the putt. Any wrist action involved is through the motion of the weight of the putter.
During your putt, concentrate on your shoulders really the putting stroke. On the backswing, your left shoulder moves down and your right shoulder moves up, focusing on your shoulders becoming synchronized. Your left wrist should stay nice and firm throughout.
In order to set up the putting grip, first place the grip in the palm of your left hand, and your entire hand around the grip. Place your right hand underneath your left, in a similar palm grip. Overlap your right hand with your left index finger.
Your palms should be opposite to one another, for a nice locked-in feeling. When setting up to address the ball, make sure your eyes are over the ball, specifically your left eye (if you are a right hand golfer).
Bend your knees slightly, and hang your arms over the ball.
Shift your weight slightly forward on your left foot, favoring the left side of your body. Your hands should also be slightly forward in your stance.
Before making your stroke, make sure your arms, shoulders, knees and feet are all parallel with your target line.
Keep all these elements in tact, and you should see improved putting in no time.
Standard rule of thumb. Five foot putt, bring (sweep) your putter back five inches, follow through five inches.
Why do most putts miss? Because the stance and the putter head are NOT square to the target line (for such cool people playing this game, isn't the word square used a lot?).
Put this in your muscle and visual memory bank:
Use a square tile floor. Place the putter head along one of the squares, and align your feet using the square pattern of the floor to be, well, square to the target.
Now, take a little peek down the target line. MEMORIZE that look. That is a square look, and that's cool!
Where Should Your Miss Land??
One of the major differences between the Tour pros and the weekend player is that the Tour pro focuses on where he wants his "misses" to land. For example, if the green is sloped back-to-front, the Tour pro will choose a club that will make sure that he leaves his approach below the hole so that he has an easier, uphill putt for birdie.
You should do the same thing. Instead of just walking off the yardage and choosing the appropriate club for the yardage, take a second to study the green to see how it's sloped. If it is sloped severely back-to-front, take one less club or choke down on the club a bit.
Or, if it is sloped hard right-to-left, aim well left of the hole (assuming the hole isn't cut tight to the left side of the green near trouble). By leaving your approach shots on the proper side of the hole, you'll find yourself three-putting or four-putting a lot less.
What are the three worst words in golf?
Wedge, Putter, Wedge (OK, if you don't get it, email me, and I'll explain..)

Tips To Improve Your Putting
Putting involves two important concepts: The Grip and Posture. These are discussed below:
1. Forming the putter grip: The steps below will help you in developing the right grip for putting.
Step 2: Place your left hand on the club, with your thumb pointing straight down the middle of the grip keeping your forefinger off the grip for the moment.
Step 3: Place your right hand on the club, again with your thumb pointing straight down the grip. Wrap your fingers of the right hand around the grip, and put your left forefinger over them.
Step 4: Finally, extend the forefinger of your right hand down the side of the grip, to enhance the control. Hold the club a little softer as opposed to the regular swing.
2. Correct Posture: Good posture is very important to the success of the putting stroke. Ideally you should adopt a posture at address that lets your arms hang down freely with out any tension. The following steps should help you perform a natural posture:
Step 1: Stand up straight resting against your left leg.
Step 2: Flex your knees a little and bend from the hips so that your arms hang limp from the shoulders.
Step 3: Form your putting grip as described above.
Step 4: Check the key elements of your posture. There should be a slight bend in your arms, with your elbows pointing in towards your ribcage. Think of your arms and shoulder as a triangle. You should feel relaxed and comfortable over the ball with your weight evenly balanced. You are now ready to putt.
Don't worry about the break in the green and it's possible effect on the path of the ball. The putter is designed so that you can hit the ball only straight and there is no point in trying to turn the ball using the putter or the stroke. Therefore, after selecting your target and aligning to it, your job is simply to concentrate on bringing the putter straight back and straight through the ball toward your target.
As the putter will only hit the ball in one direction, following the above steps will ensure that you hit the ball straight toward your target and be more successful.

Console Gaming vs. Computer Gaming
It’s an age-old question that will only get more and more intense in the coming year as the Xbox 360 is in full swing and the PS3 and Revolution release. Which is better? What system is right for me? Well, I would suggest both, but if you have to choose one or the other then you have to consider a few things.
Price is definitely a big issue. I mean, when’s the last time you didn’t even bat an eye when are buying something 500 bucks or more? The bottom line: Computer gaming is more expensive. Why? Because computers aren’t made just for games. They are calculators, word processors, Internet navigators, music players, movie watchers, and photo editors. They are much more than a gaming machine. Consoles, on the other hand, generally aren’t. It’s only recently that consoles have gone online starting with the Dreamcast and I haven’t seen anyone printing off spreadsheets or book reports from one yet. Consoles are purely for gaming and run between 100-500 bucks. PCs on the other hand are much more than a gaming machine and run between 1,500-3,000 dollars and need to be upgraded every now and again to play the newest and greatest games.
Genre is an issue. If you are a Real Time Strategy fan and only have a console, I mourn for you. And if you are a platformer fan, then computer gaming will be a sad mistake. Genre makes a big deal because of the controller vs. keyboard/mouse issue. Different games play much better on the different configurations. Computer gaming is best for Real Time Strategy (RTS) games, First Person Shooters (FPS), Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORG), Flight Simulation games, and Point and Click Adventure games. The consoles on the other hand are better for Fighting games, Action/Adventure games, Platformers, Role Playing Games (RPG), and Sports games.
Tech savvy can possibly be an issue. Computers are a little more unstable than consoles. I mean, when’s the last time you saw a Playstation lock up or get a blue screen of death? Never, right? The same thing comes in here. Some computer games might be a little stubborn to set up the way your computer likes it or your computer might not meet the system requirements. Consoles, on the other hand, don’t have that problem. The people designing the games have to fit the requirements of the console so that you don’t have a problem. If you have a basic knowledge of computers, you’ll be fine. If you don’t, then a console might be better for you.
So as I’ve explained, if you want more than a gaming system for school and work or you just like gaming genres like RTS and MMORG games, I would go with a PC. If you love platformers, Action/Adventure, or Sports games or your wallet is a tad on the empty side, I’d go with a console. It won’t be able to surf the Internet or help you with anything else, but it’ll play some great games.
If you want a console by the end of this article, then you have 3 options at the moment. You could buy a Gamecube if you like innovation, buy a Xbox if you like the best graphics and FPS games, or buy a PS2 if you want a huge library of games or love fighting games, Action/Adventure games, platformers, and RPG games. You also have another option. You could wait until the Xbox 360 comes out this month and get that or wait until the Nintendo Revolution and PS3 come out next year.

Can A Golfer Do Without Golf Fitness And Exercise
Will they still be able to enjoy their game and see constant improvements or at least consistency in their quality of play?
Those golfers who ask these sorts of questions about golf fitness and exercise sometimes nostalgically cast their minds back to the so called good old days of the golf game when the game was strictly a leisure sport where one hardly needed to break into a sweat to thoroughly enjoy themselves on the course.
The modern golf game has changed dramatically and permanently. Although golf is still very much the leisure sport that has given pleasure to thousands over the years even with the golf fitness and exercise programs. If anything these golf fitness and exercise programs have given many more people a chance to master the game much faster and really get to enjoy it.
Assuming that a golfer would want to skip golf fitness and exercise they would find themselves faced with one major problem. Increasingly they would find themselves frustrated and would be faced with a situation where it would seem that the standard of their game is dropping.
Actually what would be happening is that the pressure of playing against golfers involved in golf fitness and exercise programs would be taking its’ toll.
There are few things that are as infuriating and frustrating as seeing your opponent effortlessly run rings around you on the course just because they have taken golf fitness and exercise seriously and you have not.
In all likelihood the golfer who is determined to do without golf fitness and exercises, just like in the old days, would increasingly find themselves in a position where they enjoy their game less and less.

A Bad Golfer…And Comon Mistake You Will Find Every Time
Actually a bad golfer ignores or is unaware of what has to be the single most important aspect of the golf swing. This is the setup or positioning before the swing.
It does not matter how good your swing is and how much correct technique you have used. If you do not pay attention to your swing, you are a bad golfer and it will clearly show when you have hit the ball.
All great golfers are aware of how important the setup is and you can be sure that many bad golfers are not. If you setup correctly for a shot, chances are extremely high that you will hit a good shot. So important is your setup that even if you swing poorly in a good setup position, you are bound to at least hit a reasonable shot.
A good setup will enable you achieve a good posture and the sort of balance that will help you maintain balance and inevitably control throughout the shot.
The correct setup comes with correct training and even more important; exercising and conditioning of the muscles you use in your entire body for the swing. A bad golfer will more often than not be the sort of person who does not do golf-specific exercises aimed at improving their golf. The result is that they will not even be able to tell the difference between a good setup position and a bad one, simply because they will tend to feel uncomfortable in both.
It is amazing but true that all it takes to move you swiftly to the ranks of a good golfer from amongst the majority of bad golfers is a simple exercise routine, most of which you can even do from your office while you work.

How To Choose The Best Laptop Accessories?
The notebook computer is coming of age. For the first time in history, notebooks or laptops are out-selling their bigger cousins, desktop computers.
The rise in popularity of the notebook computer can be contributed to many factors: drop in prices, stiff competition, aggressive marketing, but perhaps the biggest factor - increased performance.
With each new generation of notebooks, we are seeing some novel breakthroughs: dual core notebooks, PCI Express, Sonoma Chipset, increased storage, increased RAM, faster CPUs, better battery life and better wireless access including a Cellular Modem Connection. All these new innovations are making for a more powerful computer embodied in a sleeker smaller package that consumers want.
However, as most notebook enthusiasts know, to get full enjoyment from your laptop or notebook computer - you must have certain essential accessories. These laptop accessories will greatly enhance your notebook experience and make for a much more satisfying all-around 'complete laptop'.
Here's a wish list of laptop accessories you may want to consider purchasing:
1. Carrying Bag or Backpack - This is essential if you will be doing a lot of traveling. You might even want to consider a wheeled bag for those heavier laptops. Try to purchase a laptop carrying bag that has plenty of compartments for all those notebook peripherals. Always check to see if your laptop or notebook will fit!2. Extra Battery - Since most batteries last less than 5 hours you will need an extra battery or two. You should also check out bringing along an external battery for your laptop.
3. Port Replicator - This is one essential you should consider buying for your laptop or notebook computer. It's a real hassle dealing with all those wires and connections on your laptop - that's where your port replicator or docking station solves your problem. Plug all your peripherals into the docking station or port replicator - connect and disconnect your laptop with ease without having to deal with all those wires and connections. A must have!
4. Auto and Airplane ac adapter - Another essential laptop accessory if you do a lot traveling, battery life on most notebooks is not great so having a handy source of ac power from your auto or from an airplane is a 'no-brainer'!
5. USB Hub - Some older model notebooks come with only one or two USB ports; if you need more - try a handy USB hub. It will give you more options.
6. Wireless Card - Most laptops and notebooks now come with a wireless card. Many top brands have 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g or all three! If your notebook doesn't have a wireless card, you can get a rather inexpensive 802.11b Linksys PC Card adapter for under $50.
You may also want to check out the new Sony VAIO VGN-T350P - it has the world's first 'Cellular Modem Built In' - access the Internet thru your cell phone. It has an Integrated EDGE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth for the ultimate in wireless networking.
EDGE stands for 'Enhanced Data for Global Evolution' thru the Cingular Wireless national network.
7. Optional External Hard Drive - Most notebooks or laptops now come with a 40 to 100 gig hard drives, but still if you download and save a lot of movies or songs you will take up that storage space quicker than you ever thought possible. If you need an extra hard drive for storage or back-up, try an external hard drive.
8. Optional External DVD Burner - Many laptops now come with a built in DVD drive but in case you need this extra for or DVD burning (movies, songs, videos, etc.) try an external DVD burner for your notebook. For maximum compatibility, try to get one that supports both DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW formats.
9. Optional Wireless Keyboard and Mouse - Might sound strange suggesting this option since most laptops already come with a keyboard! But depending on your notebook make and model, the keyboards on most notebooks are not the greatest to type with. It all has to do with the wrong angles and the shape of the laptop, so if you want a wireless desktop style keyboard and mouse, it is relatively cheap to buy.
10. Insurance! - If you do a lot of traveling, you may want to invest in some laptop insurance. Laptop theft is still a big problem and it's better to be safe than sorry.
Acquiring any of these laptop accessories will greatly improve your notebook computer, making for a hassle-free computing experience that you will appreciate and enjoy much more. So don't skimp, instead, bring your laptop enjoyment up to its highest level by purchasing some of these much needed laptop accessories.
You will thank yourself later!

How to Find the Best Deal on a Used Laptop
When searching for a used laptop computer, one must balance the obvious desire to save money the practical necessity of finding a functional machine.
The first step in your search should always involve a degree of comparison shopping, weighing out options from a variety of different sources, never just one.
On of the most obvious places to search is on the internet, at online marketplaces like eBay, Amazon, and Half.com. Searching for a phrase like “used laptops” at any of these venues will yield a huge diversity of devices from sellers around the world, ranging greatly in terms of both price and quality.
Using these websites is the best way to compare your options, as well as establish fair price points and decide how much your are willing to pay.
It’s not wise to limit your search exclusively to the internet, however, as the newspaper classifieds section can occasionally turn up a few gems. Try scanning the listings for several days, paying special attention to the Sunday paper, which often features a larger-than-average classified section.
Overall, the key to balancing price and quality to find a deal you’re comfortable with is comparison, comparison, and more comparison. To find the best deal, you should be willing to browse a vast array of options. After all, it can’t hurt, and you never know what kind of treasure might turn up right were you least expect to find it.

Car Alarm Systems
In the United States alone, a car is either stolen or broken into every 20 seconds. It is therefore not surprising that car alarm system manufacturers are constantly finding ways to improve the theft deterrence abilities of their products. But while it\'s amazing how car alarm systems have evolved form their simplest beginnings, it\'s even more amazing how car thieves still manage to get around them. Are car alarm systems really too simple to provide any protection?
Basic car alarm systems work by using simple circuitry technology – if someone forces the car door open, the circuit is closed and a siren sounds off. More sophisticated car alarms have added more sensors to capture every possible threat by being more sensitive to light vibrations or pressures. Shock sensors cause the alarm to go off when someone or something hits or moves the vehicle. The alarm will go off in patterns dependent on how strong the shock is – the sounds go anywhere from a short beeping sound to a very loud, nonstop alarm. Because shock sensors are very sensitive to any movement in and around the car, it often goes off accidentally; when someone leans on your car while waiting for a cab, for example, or when a huge truck passes by and causes the ground on which your car is parked to vibrate.
Whether they effectively deter thieves or not is subject to debate. Some experts say that shock sensors make car alarms go off unduly, and that this has caused people to become immune to them. Studies show that car alarm sounds have become so ordinary that almost nobody notices them anymore.
Manufacturers of car alarm systems are going full speed on their development of new and more innovative alarms that are more proactive. These alarms have the power to stop a stolen vehicle or send signals by themselves so that the owner and the police can track its location.

TV Shows For Backpackers
Not many television shows are produced with backpackers in mind. Still, there are some tv shows that can be appreciated especially by backpackers. They may even contain some useful lessons. Here are some examples of the best:
The Classic National Geographic Specials
Specials produced by the National Geographic Society are great viewing when you want to get motivated for new backpacking trips. The older ones are some of the best for this, like the thirty-year-old episode where four guys built a raft and floated down the Yukon River. You can find many of these on DVD now in public libraries, as well as in some video rental stores. You can se newer episodes on the National Geographic Network and occasionally on PBS.

Les Stroud's Survivorman
This television program is all about wilderness survival. You'll find it on the Discovery Channel, the Science Channel, and possibly others. It's about one man against the elements. The man in this case is Les Stroud, who is put in various environments to survive for seven days while filming himself.
One great feature of Survivorman is that each show has a "theme." The Canadian arctic episode, for example, has Stroud left with a broken-down snowmobile. He cannibalizes this various useful items, including the seat cushion, which he uses for a insulating sleeping pad. The Sonoran desert episode has him in the middle of a desert with a broken dirt bike, and he uses wires from this to weave a blanket of grass.
The show is creative and entertaining, but is a survival program useful for backpackers? I think so. There are specific techniques of survival that Stroud shows us and, more importantly, the inspiration the show provides. Survivorman lets you know that you can survive - and it gets you in the habit of thinking about how to use everything around you. This is knowledge that not only makes the wilderness more interesting, but could also save your life someday.
I Shouldn't Be Alive
It's a pure survival story show - all true stories of people that have survived some of the most horrible circumstances in every type of wilderness. In one episode the story is told of a couple who were stranded for nine days in the middle of winter in the Sierra Nevadas - with a baby. They really shouldn't be alive, but they are.
This is the point of watching a show like this. It is inspiring. Watch the episode where the man crashes his plane in the African desert and breaks his spine, then faces killer elephants, ants, thorns, hyenas and more. If you are ever lost in the wilderness, just recall a few of these shows and you'll know that people have survived worse situations than yours. You won't give up hope too easily.
The various "reality shows," like survivor, are mostly drama and more about political survival than wilderness experience, but there are other things for backpackers to watch on television. These include movies that get us motivated, like the "White Wolf," series. Movies like these may not be full of great acting, but they always put teenage hikers in beautiful setting that make us want to get the pack out and start making plans.
One final recomendation. If you can catch it on television or rent it from the video store, watch "The Edge," with Anthony Hopkins. It is an inspirational survival story for starters. It also has some of the most beautiful scenery you'll see in a movie. You'll want to start planning a trip to the Canadian Rockies before the movie is even over. This one is my kind of backpacker television.

Backpackers and Billionaires
These days young budget travelers are lining up to go to the Yasawa Islands, a chain of 16 large volcanic islands and dozens of smaller ones roughly 35 km off the west coast of Viti Levu.
The dazzling white beaches, clear warm waters, colorful coral reefs and sunny dry climate make the Yasawa Group an ideal tourist destination, but until recently a visit involved a rough sea voyage from Lautoka in an unsafe village boat—or an expensive seaplane flight from Nadi. Blue Lagoon Cruises has been plying the Yasawas since the 1950s, but passengers aboard those upscale vessels sleep in staterooms and local residents receive few benefits from their presence.
Until the 1987 Rabuka coups in Suva, it was the policy of the Fiji government that the Yasawas were closed to land-based tourism. The long years of military-backed government brought few changes to the Yasawas, although Australian investors were allowed to construct the deluxe Yasawa Island Resort (www.yasawa.com) in 1991 and a couple of village-operated backpacker camps sprang up on Wayasewa and Waya. Since the early 1980s, local families have operated three small low-budget resorts on Tavewa Island, thanks largely to Tavewa’s status as a freehold island beyond the authority of the Fijian chiefs. For decades local church leaders have portrayed tourism as a corrupting outside influence to be kept at arms length from village life.
It would be hard to imagine anything more removed from real Fijian life than Turtle Island Resort on Nanuya Levu Island, Fiji’s ultimate hideaway for the US$1,500-a-night crowd. Nanuya Levu has been freehold land since 1868, and in 1972 Richard Evanson used US$300,000 he earned in the Southern California cable television business to buy the island.
Evanson’s Turtle Island Resort (www.turtlefiji.com) became the prototype of Fiji’s current crop of boutique island resorts, hosting notables like Hollywood stars and millionaires. Brooke Shields stayed here during the 1980 filming of the escapist classic The Blue Lagoon.
A self-styled environmentalist, Evanson has planted thousands of trees on his island, and has converted the mangrove forests into tourist attractions by cleverly creating boardwalks. The resort’s food is grown in organic gardens and power is generated using solar and wind energy. Each year a group of volunteer California eye specialists visits Turtle Island Resort to perform eye surgery on needy villagers or to equip them with donated prescription glasses.
Yet for most Yasawans, life has changed little since 1789 when Captain William Bligh and loyal members of his crew paddled past the group in an open boat shortly after the famous mutiny on the Bounty. Even today, most villages are without electricity or running water, and opportunities for economic development are very limited. The Yasawans have felt neglected by politicians in the distant capital, envious onlookers as mini-cruise ships and yachts carried wealthy foreigners along their shores.
In May 2000, rabble-rouser George Speight and assorted thugs seized the Parliament building in Suva, turning Fiji on its head. Speight’s pro-indigenous rhetoric struck a chord in the Yasawas. Villagers from Nacula Island staged a mini-coup on Turtle Island, locking Evanson in one of his 14 luxurious bungalows as village youths rode wildly around Nanuya Levu on Evanson’s golf carts.
When the excitement died down, plaited mats were spread and kava roots were pounded, and over many bowls of grog, Evanson and the villagers came to an understanding.
Rather than killing the golden goose, Evanson convinced the Nacula people that they’d be better off opening resorts of their own and allowing him to continue running his business in peace.
Evanson offered interest-free construction loans and promotional support, and the Nacula Tikina Tourism Association was born. The association’s Web site (www.fijibudget.com) currently describes a dozen locally-operated resorts around the Blue Lagoon in the central Yasawas, including the three existing properties on Tavewa. All resort operators must conform to a strict code of conduct intended to preserve the environment and guarantee acceptable levels of service. Though primitive compared to the luxurious Mamanuca resorts off Nadi, the Yasawa backpacker camps provide basic food and accommodations at a relatively low price.
The mass influx of backpackers only began in 2002 when Awesome Adventures (www.awesomefiji.com), a subsidiary of New Zealand-owned South Sea Cruises, launched a fast catamaran service up and down the chain. You can now depart Nadi’s Denarau Marina on the Yasawa Flyer any morning at 9:15 a.m. and be at the resort of your choice in time for lunch. As many as 150 backpackers do this every day and the village-operated resorts on Kuata, Wayasewa, Waya, Naviti, Tavewa, Nacula, Nanuya Lailai, and Matacawa Levu are booming.
Reservations can be made upon arrival at Nadi Airport through any one of a dozen 24-hour travel agencies right in the airport terminal itself. All of these offices sell catamaran tickets with a bus transfer to the harbor included. Deluxe lodgings and gourmet food should not be expected at any of the Yasawa resorts—yet the friendly people, spectacular natural beauty, and low prices make most travelers overlook these inconveniences.

Home Alarm Systems
There are many big name companies such as ADT and Brinks that offer monitoring systems and response teams that are irreplaceable. The company you choose should also offer professional installation. They can also show you hands on how to use the equipment as well as give you pointers on how to run the system effectively without setting off false alarms. Be sure to take the time to show your spouse and children exactly how to use the equipment. It is important that they know how to use the system efficiently so they achieve the desired protection the company has to offer. It will help you enjoy your vacation away from your home and even sleep better at night knowing that there is a company standing by in case of an emergency.
If you experience any issues with your alarm system many companies will be more than willing to help you fix the problem and get your systems running correctly again. Always be sure to ask the company about hidden fees involved when purchasing a new product, and when you upgrade services. The feeling of safety within the walls of your own home is extremely important to almost every family in the world. Selecting a company that offers 24-hour monitoring of your home and safety is always worth every penny you invest. Top rated companies such as ADT offer personal safety as well as safety for the house and property inside from theft and vandalism, as well as carbon monoxide, fire, and smoke detectors.
ADT home monitoring systems also include medical emergency aid, police aid, and fire department aid at the push of a button. ADT has more than 130 years of experience and has the most prestigious name in the home security business. They also offer professional grade installation, and have a monitoring station filled with backup computers to help in the event of a power failure. When one of the sensors or alarms in your home is triggered it immediately sends a signal to one of five command monitoring centers that are strategically placed all over the United States to provide you with 24 hour monitoring. As you can see there are plenty of advantages to be had when it comes to home security from ADT - it’s no surprise that they are one of the most popular home security companies nationwide.

Accidental Billionaires
Some will call this FATE, supposedly making these events inevitable -- no argument offered. Here are some names you might recognize who were canned, laid off, or otherwise given the boot. They have joined the Pink-Slip Billionaires because instead of finding a new job, they launched their own careers.
- Michael Bloomberg – New York City Mayor
- David Neeleman – Jet Blue Aircraft
- Bernie Marcus & Allen Blank – Home Depot
- J K Rawling – Harry Potter
Of the four backgrounds I read on these entrepreneurs, Rawling's was the most amusing: discovered writing short stories on company time, she was given her pink-slip. How funny is that? He should have offered her a private office for a percent of the publishing rights.
Gaining control over your life is what it's all about. Doing something you love or believe in is a good reason to start your own career. Confucius said: "Find a business you love, and you will never have to work another day in your life".
Maybe your day will have longer hours or odd hours at first, but when you're having fun at what you're doing why would you care about free weekends? It's all going to benefit YOU, not them.
The Internet is the biggest revelation of our time. In the past one hundred years of communication, only the telephone and aviation equal its development. But its importance to small business is greater today than either television or radio.
Three million Entrepreneurs every year find the courage to start a business of their own. Others fight the fear of "no paycheck" resulting in two-thirds of all employees hating their work, their boss or their hours. But they grind away their life in this situation.
We already know that 49% of all companies are now operated from the home office, so this is not rocket science. And did you know – many independent business owners earn less income than the customers they serve? That's a fact.
I have to go back several years to the day when I first let go of my ‘hostess job' in a fine restaurant and went from part-time Entrepreneur to full time on the Internet. What a great feeling it was to plan my own day, design my own schedule and answer to no one but myself.
Surfing the Internet for a good money-stream is now second nature to me, and to do this I have learned to use the Forums. People don't hesitate to gripe about a company or a program full of BS and hype. They rip them up and down and others join their whine list. Just as out-spoken are the ones who like to brag about the successes they have found, the pay-outs that are hitting their bank accounts, and the simplicity of the program itself.
I have found a few open doors that I liked the sounds of and with further due diligence, I joined. You don't even have to become a member of these Forums, just spend every spare hour you have reading them on a daily basis. Get one money stream up and going, and start looking for the next one. Diversification, as taught by the experts, is your best insurance on Wall Street and Cyberspace.
Look for money streams in the form of residuals or leveraged income. With some effort up front and a minimum investment, get it going and coast while you look for another money stream. Many use this strategy to build their bank account while collecting a paycheck. Good idea if your ultimate plan is to break-away from your Dilbert cube.
As Entrepreneurs in the fastest growing area of the economy, we as the risk takers and wealth generators might be looked upon as grasshoppers as we search for our answers. What makes us jump? The simple answer and motivation is the desire to create: the desire to create. And high self-esteem adds serious fuel.
Motivation comes from anyone who tells us, it can't be done. We love an impossible challenge. We are dreamers. We want to control our own lives. We see things that others can not. Our determination is driven by high self-esteem. We leave a boring job to take on the fearsome adventure with the last of our savings. We are a strange lot. So tell me, given the choice, would you choose being bored, or being terrified?
Your answer may or may not qualify you for Entrepreneurship.

Invest In A Home Alarm for Personal Security
There are two main types of home intrusion systems including open and closed circuit. Open circuit home security system the alarm is triggered when the circuit is closed, then a door or window is opened it complete the circuit system it triggers the alarm. A closed circuit alarm system works in a different way, when a door or window is opened it breaks the circuit and triggers an alarm.
You can also invest in motion sensors which are more sophisticated. When they are installed they are able to sense motion within a specified field around the position. When a motion is detected by the sensor a signal is then sent to the control panel who closely analyzes it to determine whether it is enough movement to be suspicious about, or if it was simply the family cat or rabbit who got loose from its cage. The sensors can be adjusted to differentiate things like pets walking around the residence. It is best to go with a company that offers both magnetic switches as well as motion sensors that work together efficiently in an alarm system. Strategically placed switches placed around the home near windows and doors make it easier to protect areas such as large halls and rooms.
It is becoming more common for homeowners to invest in home surveillance cameras that are sent to a digital recorder. You can mount these cameras strategically around your home for added protection if you hire out a cleaning service or baby sitter. You can also use these cameras to protect expensive cars and tools outside the home, or as a front door view from upstairs. You no longer have to answer the door to unwanted solicitors. Home security systems provide continuous monitoring against intrusion, fire, smoke, medical attention, and even carbon monoxide. If a certain sensor is switched then the security company will immediately verify the emergency and contact the correct response agency such as the fire department, police, or paramedics. The four most common types of home security systems are a single premise alarm system, local alarm system, telephone dialer alarm, and a monitored security alarm. A single premise alarm system is made to protect you with door alarms that warn you when a door has been opened, carbon monoxide alarms, and heat and smoke detectors.
With a local alarm system you will have a loud alarm signal an event of intrusion or fire but will not be monitored by an outside company. It is up to you to call the police or local fire department, which ever you need to assist you. A telephone dialer alarm will dial a specified number if an alarm is tripped. They can also dial several numbers and usually play a recorded message regarding your assistance. The most effective type of home security is a monitored security system. This is obvious because they provide constant protection and monitoring of your residence.

Linux Training Online - What is Linux?- A Linux OS Introduction - Linux Server Systems
Linux is a powerful and popular operating system (OS), like Windows - but better!
The "other" software consists of several types of software programs, including application software programs, utility software programs and server programs.
All of the "other" software programs, such as Linux server software programs, run "on top of" Linux.
Linux can be used as a desktop system, for running application software programs, like a word processor or spreadsheet. And Linux can also be used as a server system, for running various types of Linux servers.
Windows Server Systems and Linux Server Systems
You can download Linux free and run it as a desktop system (relatively easily) or run Linux as a server system (a bit trickier).
Linux Downloads Free! - The Linux OS and Linux Server Software Programs
Linux is extremely popular as an OS that various types of Linux servers run "on top of". This is because you can easily download the Linux OS and Linux server software, and get lots (and lots!) of different Linux servers - free!
For example, you can boot a Linux system and run Linux and then use this OS as the foundation for: a web server (for serving web pages), an ftp server (for transferring files) and a dns server (for converting web site domain names into IP address numbers).
Linux Tips: It is estimated that 80% of all web servers in the world are Linux servers running the Apache web server software. Linux is extremely popular with web hosting companies. You have probably used Linux thousands of times (almost every time you accessed a web page) and not even known it!
Once you get Linux, video tutorials are an excellent way to continue your Linux training. Just watch a Linux video to see a popular Linux concept or command being described - and then do the steps to work with Linux yourself!

Linux is actually much more commonly used as a server system than a desktop system, but with the extremely high licensing fees of Windows, this is rapidly changing!
Windows Server Systems and Linux Server Systems
There are lots of types of Windows and Linux server systems that are used on a network, such as on the Internet or on a local area network (in an office).
For example, file servers are used to "serve" (send) program files and data files to users and web servers are used to "serve" web pages to people running browsers and surfing the Internet.
In the same way as Windows can be used as an OS that you run server software programs "on top of", Linux is also used as a server system - and there are lots of types of Linux servers and millions of Linux servers used on the Internet and in offices all around the world!

Linux Training Courses (in a Classroom) vs. Linux Training Videos - Linux Training Online
Beware of loosing your shirt going to a Linux training course taught in a classroom. You just might regret spending your hard-earned cash - and likely won't be able to get it back!
As a new Linux user, you'll find that there are lots of ways to get Linux training. And going to a Linux course taught in a classroom is a common method. However, you can save a lot of time, money and frustration if you use Linux videos (Linux video tutorials) instead of going to a Linux course.
7 Reasons NOT to Throw Your Money Away Going to a Linux Course in a Classroom
1. The Training May Be Over Your Head. The "level" of the Linux training may be way over your head. Result: Time and money wasted.
Linux Tips: Most Linux training classes start at an intermediate level and immediately get more complex. You could be quickly left in the dust and an "Intro to Linux" course may not be available in your area.
Some excellent quality Linux training videos start at a very basic "intro" level and build gradually, step-by-step on this foundation to provide you with the level of training you need. This is rare, but quite possible to find (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).
2. Poor Instructor Quality. You don't know the quality of the instructor until you get to the Linux course (classroom).
By watching some sample Linux training videos you can easily tell if the instructor is going to deliver excellent and easy Linux training.
3. Very Expensive. Linux courses taught in a classroom are very expensive and when they're over, they're over.
As an alternative to Linux classroom training, Linux training videos are very inexpensive and you can watch them over and over again - as many times as you'd like!
4. Fixed Training Time. A Linux course in a classroom has a fixed starting and ending time and you may loose all of your money if you can't make it on the day of the training.
You can watch Linux videos any time and anywhere in the world. And some Linux video tutorials include a 30-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee!
5. Terrible Classroom Training Materials. Some Linux classroom training materials are absolutely terrible.
Even extremely expensive Linux courses often include very poorly written classroom materials (Linux course books or ebooks).
You can quickly determine the quality of Linux training videos just by watching some samples.
6. Fully Devoted Training Time. You have to devote one or more solid days to the training and you have to get caught up with your work load when you get back.
With Linux training videos, you can watch a bit at a time, like just a half an hour or an hour a day.
7. All of the other expenses. Such as travel costs, parking, meals and maybe even hotel costs.
As mentioned earlier, you can watch Linux videos anywhere - no travel required!

Do-It-Yourself Laptop LCD Repairs
Laptop LCD repairs usually entail a replacement of the LCD. One option is to look for a broken laptop to serve as a donor for the LCD. Or you can buy a new one from your laptop's manufacturer.
If you are bold enough, you can take the whole matter of laptop LCD repairs into your own hands. You can ask the manufacturer of the LCD to give you a manual that has instructions on LCD replacements. With this helpful tool, you should be ready to do your own laptop LCD repairs. Read on for some helpful instructions.
The first step replacing an LCD is to remove the power cable and the battery. Next in line are the rubber grommets around the bezel. Make sure that you are using the right size of bit when working on the removals.
After you're done removing the grommets, work on the bezel itself. Be extra cautious though. These bezels easily break as they are made of thin plastics. Also, bezels have a property that allows for an easy snap. This basically means a difficult job on unsnapping.
After a successful bezel removal, turn your attention to the metal frame at the laptop's top lid. You will have to remove 14 screws before you can release the metal frame. After this step, you now work on the LCD. You have to lower the LCD panel into a resting position after which you remove 4 screws. This should release the LCD from the frame. Finally, unplug the wire connections ands remove the LCD panel.
It's time to install your new LCD panel. Again, be very careful especially when handling your LCD panel. You didn't buy a new one only to damage it. For a better protection, make it a point to lay down the panel on a soft surface. You can use a towel as buffer. Attaching the replacement LCD is actually doing the whole process of laptop LCD repairs I just mentioned above.
If I may reiterate, in laptop LCD repairs first thing to do is to reattach the four screws you removed from the old LCD panel after which you reattach the metal frame. You then lift the lid over the frame, just where you unattached it. You then reattach the 14 screws. Finally, you snap the delicate bezel back. This should be easier than the painstaking unsnapping process. Don't forget to replace the rubber grommets and of course the bezel screws.
Now test try your laptop and celebrate all the benefits of doing laptop LCD repairs yourself. You get to save a lot of money and frustrations from dealing with sometimes impertinent technicians. And of course there is the prized benefit in the form of a sense of accomplishment.
Be careful not to turn the whole thing into a false economy. Be very careful in handling the delicate parts and be very meticulous with the instructions. You don't want to turn a simple problem of LCD defect into a laptop overhaul. Remember that you intend to save money, not waste some.

Getting Your Drivers License
Indeed, the very definition of a drivers license is freedom. So many of us actually believe that we can venture out to any place, near or far, once we've earned the almighty drivers license. I guess that was little overly optimistic. Not to sell the access card short, but like many other things, the reality never quite lived up to the expectation. Nevertheless, it's great to finally get your drivers license and enjoy the sweet freedom that it brings. When did you get your drivers license? I remember that I got mine the very day I turned 16. Where I came from, we could get our learners permits when we turned 15, so I already logged some pretty good miles. Finally the license was attainable. What I find funny now days is the change in mentality. I see our 17 son and scratch my head. He was pretty apathetic about getting his drivers license right when he hit that milestone of 16. What's that all about? Have things changed so much in the last couple decades? He more or less said that he would did when he got around to the end that wasn't anything to be all that concerned about. Although we were clearly puzzled, we decided not to push it. Six months later I guess he found the proper motivation and got his official drivers license.
Do you have a drivers license? The majority of adults do. I think it's kind of pain that we have to get new ones each time we move. Why can't I just keep the same one? We seem to move quite regularly, and I dread always having to go back to the DMV or BMV as they call it here, and test for a new drivers license. But I understand why there's been a turkey the current including your present address. Having a drivers license makes our day-to-day life quite a bit easier. If you have not yet received your first drivers license, you can always get a head start by hopping online. The great thing is that nowadays it is relatively easy. You can prepare for that much-anticipated license to freedom before you even reach the age of 16. There is one of information they had so go ahead and get a head start.

The Importance of Project Management for IT Specialists
A lot of people spend most of their time learning things such as finance, banking and other money related studies, but they are missing the very skill that serves as the foundation of all those.
Not every people were born managers but you could learn to be one if you're that motivated to acquire the skills. Project management is very important whether you stumble on the banking industry, the media industry, the political arena and so on. It is in project management for IT that a person’s distinct characteristics are developed to adapt for other fields.
When you want to learn how the proper project management in IT is done, you should first possess the basic characteristics of a prospective manager in a project management for IT. These characteristics include approximation, shareholder control, successive and analogous planning, agreement administration, scope capacity supervision and risk control. A high-quality manager in a project management for IT has to be a good estimator because he has to make use of that skill thoroughly in his position as he approximate time, outlay and labor. He should at least be able to comprehend the risks for error of his estimations and consider that some data sources have errors occurring naturally that it should not be taken lightly and it should be included in their estimation.
It is expected of them to be very discerning as they distinguish mere opinion from facts. Dealing with uncertainty while keeping their cool should be the specialty of people who are in the project management for IT as he is to encounter these in the long run but managing it accordingly should be their special skill. The moment that they face uncertainty the probability of experiencing risk is much like a 100%. Another skill that is important in project management for IT is the ability to calculate risk while basing decisions from experience.
Dealing properly with investors is also important because it reflects a person’s flexibility. This was deemed significant because to communicate and convey clearly and professionally what he has to express is a bit of an intricate task for many people these days. He has to be able to discuss from progress to milestones, risk management and other issues which stakeholders need to learn as they are also part of the project. He must be able to generate a technique that would help him comprehend that which words, and tone is best to use as he deliver his point to his audience.
Basically it’s more of developing the best strategy to be able to come up with an effective plan in carrying out the project, may it be project management for IT or to other fields where you want to achieve best results.

Passports – Your License to Travel
A passport is very similar to a driver's license in the United States. It is an globally recognized document, typically used for international travel, verifying who you are and where you're from. Most countries require a valid passport to enter or exit. All countries issue their own globally recognized passports, the US included. The U.S. Department of State is the division of the government with the authority to grant, issue and verify United States passports.
To apply for a new passport, you'll need some documentation proving who you are and some time to go apply. Recent changes in the passport regulations require that most applicants must appear in person to apply for one.
US citizens that have never received a passport before should bring a certified birth certificate; current and valid driver's license, government or military ID; two passport photos that meet the requirements below and fees of $97 plus optional $60 expedited service.
Children under 17 years old are required to hold a passport for most foreign travel. Children under 14 are required to have consent of either both parents' or guardians' to apply for a passport. For children born in the United States, a birth certificate, two photos and the fees are all that will be needed. Parents or guardians will need to show proof of citizenship and identity, like a valid passport, birth certificate or driver's license.
Children or adults born outside the US will need to obtain a foreign birth certificate, report of birth abroad, certification of birth abroad or an adoption decree.
Photos for passports are required to be 2x2 inches. They must be identical, taken within the past 6 months, be in color with the full face, front view showing on a white background. The face must be between 1 and 1 3/8 inches from the chin to the top of the head. Hats, headgear and uniforms except religious dress word daily may not be worn. Prescription glasses (not sunglasses) or wigs worn as part of everyday attire may be worn if they are not obstructive.
To find a passport location near you, visit travel.state.gov and click on "Passports" then "Where to Apply for a Passport". It typically takes between two and six weeks to receive a passport once it's been issued. After you received your valid passport, you won't have to worry about expiration for a full ten years.
Renewal of your passport is easier, quicker and less expensive than the original issuance. You are eligible to renew your passport if you have received it within 15 years, it is not damaged, were older than 16 when it was last issued and still have the same name or documentation for a legal name change.
To renew your passport, you must submit a completed application, two identical passport photos, the fee of $67 and your current, valid, not-mutilated passport. Expedited service is an additional $60. Renewals are usually processed and returned within two or three weeks.
You can check the status of a new or renewed passport by going to travel.state.gov, clicking "Passports" then "Online Application Status Check". You'll input your name, date of birth and the last four digits of your social security number.
Electronic passports are in the works in the U.S. The electronic passport, "e-passport", will be very similar to the current paper passport. The addition of a small integrated computer chip on the back cover and a digital photograph will provide a number of additional benefits. First, the data stored will be much more difficult to penetrate and alter. Second, the digital photo will allow for biometric comparison through facial recognition technology. Additional anti-fraud security features will also be included on the e-passport. Traditional paper passports will still be accepted through their full period of validity.
Regardless of where your travel will be taking you, it is always a good idea to carry your valid, current passport with you. When things go astray, whether in Mexico, Malaysia or anywhere in between, your passport is your ticket to receive protections and rights you are due in that country. Keep it with you as you would your driver's license in the US.
When are you required to have a passport? If you travel to Afghanistan, Antigua, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Brazil, Cambodia, Chili, China, Cook Island, Costa Rica, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Ethiopia, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Haiti, Hungary, Iceland, India, Iraq, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mali, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Panama, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom / Great Britain, Venezuela, Vietnam and the British Virgin Islands, a passport (and possibly a visa) will be required.

Special passports are issued for diplomats or those traveling on behalf of the US government. These are issued for no-fee and are only valid for travel when on official business. Military personnel should contact their installation office. Federal employees should contact their Agency headquarters. Peace Corps officers should contact their travel office and Department of State personnel should contact their Bureau Executive or Personnel Technician.
As you enter foreign countries your passport will be stamped. As you exit, the Customs department of the US will verify where you've been, how long you were there and what items you have to declare (for taxation purposes.) The stamps are often considered the greatest souvenir of an international trip.
When venturing outside of the United States, always keep your passport on your person. Even if you are required to check all of your baggage, keep your passport with you. Should you lose your passport while in a foreign country, contact the Travel Department of the US Government at 202.955.0430 or the US Embassy in the country you are in.

- Plan ahead. The process of obtaining a passport is not difficult, but it usually takes about three weeks. So don’t postpone your application if you are planning to travel overseas.
- If you need a faster response, an expedited processing will cost an additional $60, whether you are applying for a first-time passport, or renewing an existing one.
- You will need a certified birth certificate, two identical passport-size photos (2X2 inches), your social security card and your drivers license.
- You must apply in person if this is your first U.S. passport application; or if your previous US passport expired and was issued when you were under 16; or if your name has changed since your passport was issued and you do not yet have a legal document formally changing your name.

Renew and Update Your Antivirus Software Today
PC users are facing new computer viruses every day. Computer viruses not only affect home PCs, they clog up internet traffic and disrupt the business of big corporations, causing billion dollars worth of damage each year. To protect your computer and stop the spread of these malicious programs on the internet, you should renew your antivirus software and update it regularly.
The number of computer viruses is increasing at a shocking rate. In 2003, 7 new viruses were unleashed each day. In 2004, more than 10,000 new viruses and their variants were identified. These new viruses include viruses, worms and Trojan horses and they attack the computer in many different ways. Some cause damage to the boot sector, hardware, software or data files. Some create security leaks in the system. Others may use the computer to spread spam e-mails.
Viruses, worms and Trojan horses also spread by different means. Viruses are usually transferred from one computer to another by sharing infected files or e-mail attachments. Worms replicate and spread by e-mail programs. Trojan horses are often downloaded and run by computer users who do not know the true nature of these programs.
The best antivirus software detect and remove viruses, worms and Trojan horses before they infect your system and use advanced script stopping technology. Although there are many new antivirus programs available these days, consumers should remain vigilant. Beware of all the free scans and free downloads from unknown software publishers. Some claim to be antivirus software but in fact, they add adware to your computer.
If you are looking for an antivirus software, you should only buy from reputable software publishers such as Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro, etc. Remember to renew the license annually and enable the automatic update. This ensures that you are using the most updated detection database.

10 Truths About Aging You May Mot Know
With no exception, all of us age. Now, why is "aging" such a bad word? What about growing? and lifelong development? If you are a caregiver, you know this process is not always easy, but the good news from neuroscience these days is that there is much each of us can do.
1- Change: We should talk more about change than about decline, as we discussed recently with Dr. Elkhonon Goldberg, who wrote his great book The Wisdom Paradox precisely on this point.
2- Improvement: Some skills improve as we age-In our brain fitness classes, we typically explain how some areas typically improve as we age, such as self-regulation, emotional functioning and Wisdom (which means moving from Problem solving to Pattern recognition).
For example, as a lawyer accumulates more cases under his/ her belt, he or she develops an automatic "intuition" for solutions and strategies. As long as the environment doesn't change too rapidly, this growing wisdom is very valuable.
3- Decline: ...whereas, yes, others typically decline: effortful problem-solving for novel situations, processing speed, working memory, attention and mental imagery. In other words, the capacity to learn and adapt to new environments.
4- Let's worry less: Now, there is a key difference between not remembering where I put my car keys today...which happens to all when we are too absorbed in something else and is not by itself a big deal...and not remembering why I need keys to open my car. Sometimes we tend to worry too much.
5- Lifestyle: Studies have shown a tremendous variability in how well people age and how, to a large extent, our actions influence the rate of improvement and/ or decline. Our awareness that "it's not all doom and gloom" and that there's much we can do is very important.
6- Brain Reserve: If we want to maximize our chances of healthy aging, we should focus on 4 main "brain health" pillars: brain exercise, physical exercise, stress management and a balanced diet. And the earlier the better to build a Brain Reserve that may delay Alzheimer's related symptoms-studies have shown a risk reduction of up to 38% thanks to these lifestyle habits!.
7- Brain Exercise: In terms of brain exercise, we must ensure we engage with activities that provide us novelty, variety and constant challenge to exercise and cross-train our "mental muscles" (cognitive and emotional skills). This is our best "brain food".
8- Computer-based programs: Computer-based brain exercise programs are great vehicles or tools to help us with our stress management and mental stimulation needs, as compliments to other activities in our daily lives. This is why you are reading more about the Brain Fitness movement these days, grounded on the research behind adult neuroplasticity (how the brain can rewire itself).
9- Retirement?: baby boomers (and many healthy adults over 62!) want to remain active and mentally stimulated beyond arbitrary retirement ages. Why accept arbitrary age limits?
10- Attitude: no matter where we are or what we do, how we react to it makes a big difference. Let's focus on today and tomorrow, not yesterday. Let's focus on what we can do to improve. Let's continually exercise our brains.
